How to test your testosterone
I use discounted labs because they're cheap ($30.45) and have locations everywhere.
- Purchase the test online. Begin with the basic “total and free testosterone” test.
- Choose a local lab (at your convenience) and give one small vial of blood. (almost painless)
- The results are emailed within 5-10 business days.
They accept walk-ins or appointments. This is all done without insurance or a doctor.
LabCorp opens at 7 a.m., and I recommend going then to avoid waiting. You can realistically be in and out in 5 minutes flat. Also, testosterone declines throughout the day so going in the morning will give you a more accurate result. Be sure to go at the same time for every subsequent test.
Because eating can effect testosterone levels, I recommend eating breakfast after the blood draw.
If you happen to learn that your testosterone is low, check out the article I wrote on how I boosted mine by 122%.
